A UX writer, copywriter, and narrative writer making complex ideas clear, human, and easy to act on.
I’m a UX writer, copywriter, and narrative writer who makes complicated things easier to understand—and a lot more human.
Whether I’m explaining a game mechanic, shaping a character’s voice, or turning dense information into clear copy, my goal is the same: help people understand what’s happening, feel confident, and know what to do next.
Before moving into games, I worked in employee benefits, where I learned how to translate policies, processes, and industry language into information real people could understand and use. Now I bring that same clarity to onboarding, tutorials, missions, UI microcopy, localization, and content systems for mobile games.
I’m especially good at finding the point where something becomes confusing. Sometimes it’s a sentence. Sometimes it’s inconsistent terminology, a missing instruction, or an entire flow that assumes the player knows more than they do. I simplify the experience without flattening its personality—and adapt the writing to the audience, product, and cultural context.
I also develop research-led character profiles and narrative voices. I use interviews, contextual research, and real-life observations to create characters who feel specific, believable, and emotionally consistent without relying on stereotypes. The result is a practical foundation writers, developers, and audio teams can carry across dialogue, gameplay, sound, and music.
Outside of UX and narrative work, I write the Brandon Bolt children’s books and I’m developing several novels. I’m also deeply interested in comedy, timing, and delivery—the tiny choices that determine whether a line feels natural, falls flat, or lands exactly when it should.
Different formats, same job: make the meaning clear, make the voice feel alive, and never make the audience work harder than they need to.
